Q: What kind of CNA program is this?
A&E Nursing Skills offers a 75-hour hybrid CNA training program. Week 1 is online, and Week 2 is in-person for hands-on skills training.

Q: Is your program approved by the state?
Yes. Our curriculum meets Ohio Department of Health (ODH) requirements.

Q: How long is the course?
The course lasts two weeks: one week of online coursework and one week of in-person clinical skills training.

Q: How old do I have to be to enroll?
You must be at least 16 years old.

Q: What documents do I need to enroll?
You need a valid photo ID, a negative TB test, a physical and a background check.

Q: Can I enroll if I have a criminal record?
It depends on the nature of the offense and state testing regulations. Contact us for more details.

Q: How do I register for the program?
You can register directly on our website by selecting your desired class start date and submitting payment.

Q: How is the online portion of the course structured?
The online portion is live through Microsoft Teams from 8am-4pm It includes videos, quizzes, and reading assignments.

Q: Do I need to log in at specific times for the online course?
Yes. From 8am-4pm and all work must be completed by the end of Week 1.

Q: What equipment do I need for the online portion?
You’ll need internet access and a device like a laptop, desktop, or tablet.

Q: Where is the in-person training held?
In-person training takes place at 2040 E Market St. Suite 1 Akron, Ohio 44312. Clinicals take place at Green Village Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation 708 Moore Road Akron, Ohio 44319

Q: What should I wear during in-person training?
Students should wear professional wine/burgundy colored scrubs and closed-toe shoes, nametag and lanyard (nametag and lanyard provided by A&E Nursing Skills).

Q: How much does the program cost?
The total cost is $550.

Q: What’s included in the tuition?
Tuition includes 75 hours of online/in person and clinical training and a certificate of completion.

Q: What’s not included in the tuition?
State testing fees, TB tests, background checks, and optional CPR certification are not included.

Q: Do you offer a payment plan?
Yes. We accept payment plans with Affirm/Afterpay

Q: What payment methods do you accept?
We accept secure online payments through our website.

Q: Can I get a refund if I change my mind?
No. All payments are non-refundable.

Q: Can I reschedule my class to a future date?
You may contact us prior to your class start date to request rescheduling, but availability is not guaranteed.

Q: Will I be certified after completing this course?
You will receive a certificate of completion, which qualifies you to take the state CNA exam.

Q: Do you schedule the state exam for students?
Students are responsible for scheduling and paying for their own state exam; however, we are happy to assist you with the registration process and provide guidance on how to sign up.

Q: Is CPR certification included?
No. CPR is offered separately and is not required for completion of the CNA program. CPR classes are offered every other Saturday from 9am-1pm for $75. It includes the course and the skills portion

Q: Do you offer job placement after graduation?
While we do not offer guaranteed job placement, we provide resources and support for your job search.

Q: Can I work in another state with my Ohio STNA certification?
No. Your Ohio STNA certification only allows you to work in Ohio. To work in another state, you must apply for reciprocity with that state’s Nurse Aide Registry. This process usually includes a short application, background check, and proof that your Ohio certification is active and in good standing.
