About A&E Nursing Skills
At A&E Nursing Skills we started as CNAs, and we’re passionate about helping you take that same first step. Through online learning, hands-on classroom instruction, and real clinical experience, we help you build the skills and confidence to care for others. Our goal is to become Akron’s number one choice for CNA training by making sure every student feels supported, challenged, and prepared to succeed.
Meet the Owners
Alisha Brown, RN, BSN
Eva Scullark, LPN
Owner, Program Director & Primary Instructor
Co-Owner, Clinical Instructor
Alisha began her healthcare career as a CNA in 2012, became an LPN in 2017, and earned her RN in 2020. Having worked in each role, she understands firsthand the responsibilities, challenges, and impact of every level of nursing care. When she tells students she has been in their shoes, she means it.

She teaches beyond the steps of a skill, helping students understand why their care matters and how it affects the person receiving it.
At A&E Nursing Skills, Alisha combines clear expectations, practical instruction, and encouragement to help students build confidence, prepare for their state test, and begin their healthcare careers with a strong foundation.
Eva brings more than 20 years of healthcare experience to A&E Nursing Skills. Having worked as both a CNA and an LPN, she understands firsthand the dedication, compassion, and practical skills needed to provide quality care.

As a clinical instructor, Eva helps students put their classroom learning into practice while caring for residents. Through guidance, feedback, and encouragement, she helps students strengthen their skills, build confidence, and understand their responsibilities as members of the healthcare team.

Eva emphasizes the everyday actions that make a lasting difference protecting residents’ dignity, recognizing their needs, and providing care with patience and respect. Her goal is to help students leave clinical training better prepared for the people who will depend on them
